This event ensures that instructors demonstrate capabilities and skills for interactive and engaging classroom instruction in a technical environment with hands-on technical laboratory exercises. The sessions will be hosted by Harbrook and supervised by an approved CCSI Proctor.
Cisco approved Instructor Certification Program (ICP) event
This event is intended for candidates who would like to become CCSI certified to deliver authorised Cisco training courses. This event ensures that instructors demonstrate capabilities and skills for interactive and engaging classroom instruction in a technical environment with hands-on technical laboratory exercises. The sessions will be hosted by an authorised Cisco Learning Solutions partner and supervised by an approved CCSI Proctor. The event will comprise two sessions over two days.

Prerequisites: CCNA® or higher Career Certification Official Cisco® ICND or CCNA® course attendance (recommended) CCSI level score or higher on associated exams: ICND1 (640-822) , ICND2 (640- 816) or CCNA® (640-802) Strong understanding of and experience with hands-on lab exercises based on Official Cisco® ICND Part1 v1.0 course and Cisco® ICND Part2 v1.0 course
Preparation; Candidates are asked to carefully study the provided Instructor or Student guide for the ICND courses and any supplemental materials that assist in obtaining a CCNA® Cisco Career Certification.
Session 1 – Day One – Technical assessment The Lab test is performed on the first day of the ICP. ICP Candidates must be familiar with ALL equipment used in the ICND labs. This includes both the student and instructor equipment. The Candidate is expected to be familiar with the ICND lab setup and the student exercises. The Candidate needs to be fully experienced in the use of Cisco IOS. The Candidates are required to perform configuration exercises from the ICND1 and ICND2 courses as well as the ability to recover from student configuration errors.
Session 2 – Day two – Presentation skills assessment For the Presentation day, candidates should be prepared to teach any chapter from the ICND Courses. Candidates will be asked to deliver two presentations. One presentation can be chosen by the candidate, the other will be selected by the ICP event proctor. Candidates also have the choice of delivering one presentation in a language of their choice by previous arrangement with the host CLSP. The proctor will assess Candidate abilities in the following areas: Perform white board (chalk talk) based on course material Maintaining Instructional Credibility Managing the Learning Environment Communicating Effectively Effective Use of Questions Providing Motivation and Reinforcement Providing Clarification and Feedback
The proctor will assess Candidate abilities as defined by Cisco Systems and candidates must successfully achieve passes in both assessments to gain certification.
