Students who are planning for training should have A valid passport and

You should apply for a tourist visa since a student visa does not apply
for the short-term courses that you wish to attend.
You should state clearly in your visa application that the primary reason for traveling to India is tourism.
The international students are required to carry the necessary
documents along with them such as admission letter, passport, residence
permit etc. The international students can avail the residential permit
after registering themselves at the Foreigner's Registration Office
(F.R.O) within a period of 14 days from their arrival.
