Description
This lab-intensive course introduces you to the
Cisco® Unified Application Environment (CUAE) and its features. You
will learn the important theoretical concepts that the CUAE is based on
and gain the practical knowledge and skills to successfully use it to
develop applications in your environment. In 6 hands-on labs, you will
learn to build simple applications using out-of-the-box features of
CUAE as well as develop more complex custom plugins.
Please note: Students need to provide their own Windows-based laptops and 15-ft-or longer ethernet cables.Objectives
- Build applications using the Cisco Unified Application Designer (CUAD)
- Deploy applications to CUAE
- Run applications on CUAE triggered by calls from the IP Phone
- Run applications on CUAE triggered by making an HTTP requests
- Create, deploy & utilize custom actions
- Create, deploy & utilize custom providers including provider events & provider actions
Prerequisites
- Participants are required to bring their own laptops and Ethernet cable, with the following software applications pre-loaded:
- Visual Studio .NET 2005 (Express C#) (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualcsharp/download/)
- .NET SDK 2.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9b3a2ca6-3647-4070-9f41-a333c6b9181d&DisplayLang=en)

- Working knowledge of C/C++ and .NET or any other object oriented programming language
