Description
The Foundation Express SE has training goals in four areas of emphasis to provide SEs with the basic knowledge
and skills required to do the following: I. Support the sales effort with technical evaluation, analysis,
and presentations as a complementary value-add that the SE provides the Account Manager (AM) II. Planning
activities that provide a technical description of solutions presented to Customers and point out specific
advantages of selecting Cisco solutions. III. Developing a Detailed Network Design for the customer's
network solution IV. Consulting and technical collaboration that the SE provides to the Field Engineer
(FE) Objectives
After completing this course the student should be able to:
- Introduce Foundation express for SEs
- Describe detailed technical features, functions and benefits
of the Cisco Access Routing & Catalyst Switching product families
- Describe detailed technical features, functions and benefits of the Cisco security product family
- Describe detailed technical features, functions and benefits of the Cisco Wireless product families
- Describe the technical features, functions and benefits of the Cisco Works portfolio
- Propose Integrated Solution to meet Customer needs
Prerequisites
To fully benefit from this course, learners should have the following prerequisite skills and knowledge:
- Basic router configuration
- Basic switch configuration
- Basic virtual local area network (VLAN) configuration
- Basic Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) configuration
- Basic trunking configuration
- Standard access list configuration
Note: The prerequisite topics are covered in the Interconnecting Cisco Network
Devices (ICND) v2.0 course. It is recommended that a student achieve Cisco Certified Network Associate
(CCNA) status prior to taking this course. Students not seeking certification must still complete the
prerequisite courses before enrolling in this course. |
