AWLAT v2.0 - Aironet Wireless LAN Advanced Topics

Duration:

Description

Through instructor-led training and in-depth instructor assisted, hands-on labs this advanced course is designed to give you a firm understanding of Ciscos Wireless Network. Learn to configure Cisco components to create a Cisco Integrated Wireless Network, determine the necessary processes to manage the WLAN with CiscoWorks WLSE, utilize location manager to create and monitor the radio coverage of the WLAN, determine the best practices for implementing security on an enterprise-scale integrated wired and wireless network, describe the processes used by the WLSM and Supervisor Engine 720 and understand the procedures to implement a Layer 3 roaming in a WLAN. Lightweight access points and controllers are NOT covered in this course. For comprehensive coverage of those topics, see our Cisco Unified Wireless Network (CUWN) training course.

Laptops are provided to participate in the hands-on labs. If you desire to use your own laptop, please bring a laptop computer with an available 32-bit CardBus slot and an Ethernet port as well as an internal wireless NIC, 802.11a/b/g. The laptops operating systems must be either MS Windows 2000 (SP4) or XP. The laptop should also have a 9-pin serial port or USB to serial adapter. IN ADDITION, you will need administrator rights to the laptop to install drivers for the wireless client used in class.
