Description
This 4-day leader-led course teaches learners how to
configure services on MGX PNNI switches. Services include circuit
emulation, Frame Relay, and ATM (narrowband only). This update includes
features for engineering release(s) 5.1.x / 5.2.x for MGX PNNI switches. Objectives
After completing this course the student should be able to:
- Given the needs of the customer the learner will be able to determine the features and hardware required to meet these needs
- Given a variety of lines (T1, E1, T3, E3, and serial lines) on MGX
service modules the learner will activate, link, and configure them and
confirm that they are free of alarms and can carry traffic
- Given endpoints on 2 networked MGX switches the learner will add
and configure at least one ATM SPVC and verify connectivity on the
connection and given pre-configured routers on ATM ports, monitor
established SVCs between the ports
- Given CESM or MPSM CE endpoints the learner will create and
configure circuit emulation services in the MGX network and
successfully verify connectivity on the connection
- Given a router's Frame Relay interface configuration, the learner
will be able to create and configure a Frame Relay port on the FRSM or
MPSM in FR mode so that the port is free of alarms and LMI messages are
being sent between the interfaces
- Given FRSM or MPSM FR endpoints, the learner will be able to create
and configure Frame Relay connections in the MGX network and
successfully verify connectivity on the connections
- Given a router's ATM interface configuration, learners will be able
to create and configure an ATM port on the AUSM or MPSM in ATM mode so
that the port is free of alarms and traffic is being sent between the
interfaces
- Given AUSM or MPSM ATM endpoints the learner will create and
configure ATM connections in the MGX network and successfully verify
connectivity on the connection
